The SmartDispenser® AirFree® fluid dispensing system series includes benchtop automation, a handheld benchtop, and an automation system. The SmartDispenser® series allows manufacturers to establish one dispense program globally while achieving the highest repeatability when dispensing assembly fluids. The SmartDispenser® eliminates fluid waste, rework, rejects, and costly air compressors to maximize profitability. Unlike pneumatic dispensing products, it enables you to achieve total process control in the dispensing process. The SmartDispenser® AirFree® fluid dispensing system series includes accessories that were developed to improve the fluid dispensing process.
The Genius® Lead Screw Protector is designed to add an extra layer of protection against dust and contaminants common in manufacturing facilities for both the SmartDispenser® lead screw and stepper motor. The Genius® Lead Screw Protector attaches to the hub on the end of the lead screw and is held in place by the piston stabilizer. The motor end of the lead screw protector flanges outward, sealing the motor compartment. The LDS™ (Linear Drive System) dispense gun retaining ring secures the lead screw protector when locked in place. The lead screw protector extends and retracts in conjunction with the LDS™ dispense gun lead screw during production.
The Genius® Lead Screw Protector Starter Kit includes a specially designed PosiLok™ piston stabilizer and ten Lead Screw Protectors which fits 5cc, 10cc or 30cc syringes. The piston comes together in two halves and locking ring creating one complete piston stabilizer that secures the Genius® Lead Screw Protector in place.
Other Genius® components include AirFree® syringes and Genius® PosiLok™ dispensing tips. The SmartDispenser® accessories include a syringe filling system. If an air pocket passes through the dispense tip it tends to “spit” or result in an incomplete dispense. This will lead to a rejected part. The SmartDispenser® syringe filling system eliminates this frustration and reduces cycle time because it utilizes AirFree® technology. Automated, AirFree® syringe filling systems making the filling process easy, clean and fast.
Genius® PosiLok™ dispensing tips differ from air to air free systems. Systems that use air as a drive system experience out of control swings in repeatability from one fluid dispense to the next. Smaller gauge dispenser tips are used as flow controls to manage the inconsistency. When air pressure is replaced by the AirFree® LDS™ this flow control isn’t needed. Using a Genius® PosiLok™ dispensing tip with a larger gauge and shorter length allows the assembly fluid to flow at the proper speed providing the highest repeatability while reducing your cycle time.
