Q: How long has Fishman been in business?
A: We have been in business since 1958 when the company was originally founded by Philip Fishman as The Philip Fishman®Company. It was one of the “original six” distributors for Semco Corporation, a manufacturer of plastic cartridges used for the dispensing of assembly fluids, and was assigned the six New England states as a territory.
In 1976, the company was purchased by the Beebe family, the second generation of which still owns it to this day. The company name changed to Fishman®Corporation and since its purchase we have successfully redefined from a regional distributor to an international manufacturer of world class fluid dispensing systems.
Q: When was the SmartDispenser®released?
A: We revolutionized liquid dispensing with the release of the SmartDispenser®in 2010. The SmartDispenser®provides the best process control of any fluid dispenser on the market. AirFree®technology replaces traditional air pressure as the drive system to proportion fluid deposits, thereby improving repeatability 6-10 times.
Q: What type of maintenance does your fluid dispensing system require?
A: The SmartDispenser®system is virtually maintenance-free. We do offer all of our SmartDispenser®customers free software updates. We have the ability to connect to any system in the world, to upgrade the software remotely, from our facility here in Hopkinton, MA. Or, if the customer prefers not to put their system online, we can always simply send out a USB stick that will automatically upgrade the system for them.
