Simple solutions that are simply effective at saving time
The SmartDispenser® Push-To-Connect™ Gun Mount reduces the time required to change an empty syringe in an automated production cell from minutes to seconds. When used properly, the Push-to-Connect Gun Mount can be a tremendous asset to manufacturers. Here’s how it works: The Push-To-Connect™ Gun Mount has a bifurcated design. The “A” half is permanently mounted to the dispense gun and has a male molex interface connector. The “B” half is permanently mounted to the automation cell’s fluid dispensing station, and has a female molex interface connector and a 30-foot electrical cord connecting to the SmartDispenser® mounted in the automation cell’s electronic cabinet. When the syringe in the automation cell is empty, the SmartDispenser® operator removes the entire dispense gun, not just the syringe with a simple wrist cocking motion then places it in the Gun Tray using a similar motion.
The SmartDispenser® Gun Tray serves up more time savings
The SmartDispenser® Gun Tray, the workmate of the Push-to-Connect™ Gun Mount, is used to efficiently transport pre-filled fluid dispense guns between the SmartDispenser® Priming Station to the SmartDispenser® Automated Production Cell. Made of durable, scratch resistant powder-coated aluminum, the Gun Tray withstands the not-so-gentle manufacturing environment in which it works. In addition to storing and transporting Dispense Guns, the Gun Tray also has a Travel Port for the USB memory stick, which is used in the Priming Station to record the step count.
When ready, the operator picks up the Gun Tray and carries it to the SmartDispenser® Automated Production Cell. When needed, each full gun replaces an empty gun in the Automated Production Cell. With this method, the SmartDispenser® operator changes the entire Dispense Gun, as opposed to just switching out the empty syringe reservoir, which greatly reduces the syringe reservoir refill and dispense gun changeover times.
