Adding Intelligence to Syringe Filling Systems

There are times when fluid dispense systems using disposable syringes aren’t right for a particular application. In situations such as these, Fishman® Corporation offers the SmartFill™ MINI™ Syringe Filling System and the SmartFill™ Syringe Filling System. Both of these intelligent systems are designed to allow for the fast, clean, and economical transfer of fluids from bulk containers to Fishman® SmartValve™s. Both of these versatile syringe-filling systems can be used with a wide range of assembly fluids and are designed to reduce production downtime, helping manufacturers to realize greater annual profits.

The technology powering these syringe filling systems is special

The SmartFill™ MINI Syringe Filling System and the SmartFill™ Syringe Filling System each feature their own unique technology. For the SmartFill™ MINI it’s AlgorithmicControl™; a technology that allows for valve control via numeric programming. This lets manufacturers control movements within one thousandth of an inch and speed in inches per second. The SmartFill™ Syringe Filling System, the more robust of the two, features a combination of AlgorithmicControl™ and patented AirFree® Technology. In addition to the incredible control gained from AlgorithmicControl™, with AirFree® Technology, manufacturers can also benefit from capabilities designed to eliminate human error, increase productivity, and strengthen communication between production and management.

As expected, each syringe filling system features intelligent valves

Both SmartFill™ Syringe Filling Systems are designed to work with the SmartValve™. There are two versions of the SmartValve™— the Needle and the Diaphragm. The SmartValve™—Needle is ideal for low to high viscosity fluids. The wetted part of the SmartValve™—Needle consists of a 303 Stainless and Delrin® fluid body. The SmartValve™—Diaphragm is made for low viscosity fluids which have a negative reaction when they come in contact with stainless steel. For this reason the wetted part of the SmartValve™—Diaphragm consists of an UHMW-PE diaphragm and Delrin® fluid body. Moreover, both SmartValve™s help make machine maintenance more efficient, because Fishman® Engineers designed both of them with a detachable dispense head for quick and easy removal and replacement. It’s so simple, the switch can be done in seconds, helping maximize production throughput.

Taking the pressure off finding the right pressurized reservoirs

To round out these syringe filling systems, Fishman® offers two different styles of pressure reservoirs. The first style includes 2- & 5-Liter Pressure Reservoirs. They’re designed to allow a bottle of assembly fluid to be placed inside the reservoir. A dip tube is inserted into the center of the assembly fluid bottle and, when pressurized, the assembly fluid travels up though the dip tube into the tubing connection of the pressure reservoir and to the SmartValve™. This ensures that a flow of assembly fluid is always being directed to the SmartValve™. The second style includes pressure reservoirs come in 2- & 10-Gallon sizes, which are designed to allow assembly fluid to be poured directly into the reservoir itself. When the pressurized assembly fluid travels through the tubing connecting the pressure reservoir to the SmartValve™, it provides a continuous flow of assembly fluid to the SmartValve™ just like the 2- & 5-Liter Pressure Reservoirs.
